Who we are?
We are a family orientated fellowship of all ages who believe the Bible to be the inspired and infallible word of God. We started meeting in September 1987 in a community centre, then later moved to a local theatre. Finally we purchased our own building and converted it into the church we now use. We currently have a membership of around 30 adults and a regular congregation of around 50 adults and children.
We start our service with a time of worship led by our team of musicians and singers and we openly encourage freedom within our services, including dancing, prophecy and prayer.
We are a free church with our focus completely on Jesus and Him crucified, resurrected and alive and are members of The Evangelical Alliance and part of Churches Together in Sudbury and District.
The Fellowship is founded on the principle of “body ministry” operating under the oversight of a Biblically structured Eldership
What do we do?
We meet every Sunday morning at 10.30am. Our meeting includes contemporary Worship led by a team of musicians and singers. The format of our meeting can vary from week to week. During these meetings the very young children can go and enjoy a Crèche, whilst the older children (4 - 11 years+) meet for their own teaching. We actively encourage the participation of all ages in our meetings, particularly children.
We have a Parent & Toddler Group (“Jellytots”) which meets during school term time on Tuesday mornings.
For people enquiring about the Christian Faith we occasionally run an “Alpha” course over a 15 week period. These meetings are relaxed evenings including a supper and a talk with time for questions & answers.
As needs dictate we also run a 12 session “Greenfingers” course for those interested in a refresher or introductory course in basic Christian teaching, a 12 week Marriage Course and a parenting course.
We have a weekly house group to learn more about the Bible, pray together and develop friendships.
We also run two weekly Children's & Young Peoples Groups: One on Friday evenings - 'US Club Juniors' for 5-9 years - and one on Wednesday evening for 'Teens and Twenties'.
A list of our current activities is available, together with a separate monthly Newsletter & Diary Dates, upon request.
What we Believe?
We
believe that Jesus Christ is the only Son of God, who came to this earth to show
us God’s love, He died on a cross and 3 days later came back to earthly life and
then went back to Heaven and is alive there today.
We
believe that Jesus was completely right when He said that He is the Way, the Truth
and the Life and that no person can get to Heaven without believing and trusting
in who He is and what He said.
We believe that only faith in God and His promises, found in the Bible, brings lasting peace, joy and happiness and helps us to make sense of this life.
